Why Choose a Pediatric Dentist?
Tiny teeth merit tailored care. Because children are still growing into their smiles, pediatric dentists focus on teaching children healthy habits for life and making them feel safe at the dentist.
Dental anxiety stems from children not receiving comforting, specialized care at a young age. This discourages many adults to go to the dentist, putting them at risk for oral health problems that cause complex, costly issues. Committing to a pediatric dentist means you are gifting your child a healthy smile and empowering them with positive associations with the dentist.
Your Child's First Visit
To make your little one’s first visit seamless, we recommend doing a few things to streamline the process and set your child up for success!
1.
How to Prepare
Frame your child's appointment positively, in terms they can understand so they know what to expect. This reduces anxiety and puts them in a positive mindset for their first appointment.
2.
What to Bring
Filling out your new patient forms and bringing a list of questions, and applicable insurance information is key to a seamless appointment. For our littlest patients, we recommend bringing in their favorite comfort toy or blanket.
3.
What to Expect
Expect a warm welcome and an elegant, kid-friendly atmosphere. For your child’s first visit, we will give you a tour of the office and show your kiddo that the dentist can be fun with immersive oral habit techniques, a kid’s play area, and amazing goodie bags after their appointment. During their appointment, our hygienist will gently clean away plaque and tartar from their teeth. Dr. Javidi will come in for an exam to make sure their pearly whites are healthy. X-rays will be taken to ensure everything is healthy under the surface.
4.
kid friendly office
Your child’s experiences at the dentist shape their perception of dental care into adulthood. That’s why it’s important to join a dental home that’s warm, welcoming, and most importantly, kid-friendly. That is why we offer beverage stations, kid's play area, headphones and TVs in operatories.
